1. Introduction
This document describes how to add, use, and remove the MindMotion Teleconsultation Zoom Marketplace application. Troubleshooting, FAQ and contact support are also provided in the corresponding sections.
1.1. Adding the Zoom application
1.1.1. Using Zoom Marketplace
- Go to the Zoom Marketplace (https://marketplace.zoom.us/), search for “MindMotion Teleconsultation” application, review requirements and click on the “Add” button.
- If it’s not done already, Zoom will require you to login using your Zoom credentials.
- You’ll then be redirected to the Companion web application and Companion will require you to login using your Companion credentials.
- The Companion will then confirm Zoom access has been granted.
1.1.2. Using Companion web application
- Using your Companion credentials, login to the Companion web application (https://www.mm-companion.com).
- Go to your profile page.
- In your profile page, in the Zoom credentials section, click on “Setup your teleconsultation account”.
- If it’s not done already, Zoom will require you to login using your Zoom credentials.
- The Companion will then confirm that the Zoom access has been granted.
1.2. Application usage
1.2.1. Prerequisites
- The usage of Companion Zoom application is reserved to users with a Companion therapist or patient account.
1.2.2. Setup a meeting as a therapist
- Using your Companion therapist credentials, login to the Companion web application (https://www.mm-companion.com).
- Select the teleconsultation screen.
- If necessary, create a teleconsultation meeting with a selected patient using the “+” (plus) button.
1.2.3. Start a meeting as a therapist
- Once a meeting has been created and when the teleconsultation is soon to start, a button to join the meeting (using Zoom) will be available at the top of the web application interface.
- Click on the “Join teleconsultation” button.
- Troubleshooting note: If you didn’t grant access to Zoom yet, the join button will be replaced by a “Setup your teleconsultation account” button, which performs the operations described in section “Adding the Zoom application – using the Companion web application”
- A new browser tab will open and a Zoom page will handle opening the meeting using the Zoom client.
Additional Information
- If the Zoom client is not installed on your device, the Zoom page will propose the installation of the client.
- If you haven’t already accepted to automatically open a new window in your browser settings, your browser may ask you to accept opening new pop-up from a link first.
1.2.4. Join a meeting as a patient
- Using your Companion patient credentials, login into your MindMotion GO device
- On your patient dashboard, when the teleconsultation will soon start, a “Join meeting” button is available.
- Click on the “Join meeting” button and wait for therapist to appear on the screen.
1.2.5. Manage teleconsultation as a therapist
- Once in the teleconsultation is started and your patient joined, you will be in the discussion screen view.
- In this screen, your patient can see your camera view in a wide area, and hear your voice through the integrated sound output of the MindMotion GO device.
- The patient can be seen through the MindMotion GO Camera device and can be heard through the integrated sound input of the MindMotion GO device.
- Once you want to start the training with MindMotion GO, you can switch to the training screen from which you will be able to use the MindMotion GO device remote control to start the training.
- Your camera view will be displayed on the blue border as seen on the patient shared view.
- You can click on the remote control area to interact with the MindMotion GO software.
- You can click on the “Expand view” to go back to the discussion screen.
- Once the teleconsultation is finished, you can click on the usual Zoom end meeting button.
- The patient will see a confirmation window indicating that the meeting has ended.
1.3. Removing the Zoom application
1.3.1. From Zoom Marketplace
- Go to the Zoom Marketplace (https://marketplace.zoom.us/), search for “MindMotion Teleconsultation” application and click on the “Remove” button.
- If it’s not done already, Zoom will require you to login using your Zoom credentials.
1.3.2. Using Companion web application
- Using your Companion credentials, login to the Companion web application: https://www.mm-companion.com
- Go to your profile page
- In your profile page, in the Zoom credentials section, click on the “Revoke access” button
2. Troubleshooting
2.1. General
- How can I become a Companion customer?

2.2. Companion web application
- I receive an error when I attempt to grant access to Companion
- The process requires you to have valid Companion credentials. Please check our contact support for more information on how to obtain credentials.
- For Zoom access, you’ll need to create a Zoom account if it’s not done already.
- If both accesses are correct, check your browser settings to see whether opening a new window or new tab is allowed in the browser settings for the Companion web application (https://mm-companion.com)
- If everything is correct and the Companion web application indicates that it failed to grant access, you should see a “Retry” button on the corresponding screen.
- I can’t start my teleconsultation meeting
- Check your internet connection
- Check also whether your browser is blocking pop-ups for the Companion website.
- I can’t see my patient’s video
- I can’t hear my patient / My patient cannot hear me
- The MindMotion GO computer camera needs to be plugged correctly. The MindMotion GO software will warn your patient if the Camera cannot be found.
- The screen and computer volume setting for both the speaker and the microphone need to be high enough.
- I can’t see my patient’s screen
- Verify that your patient pressed on “Start training”.
- I can’t control my patient’s screen
- Try to click on the MindMotion GO screen to take back mouse control.

2.3. MindMotion GO device
- As a patient, I can’t join my scheduled meeting
- Verify your internet connection
- As a patient, I can’t hear my therapist speaking
- The screen and computer volume setting for both the speaker and the microphone need to be high enough.
- As a patient, I can’t see my therapist
- Note that the therapist video is not visible while performing an activity.
- Before and after an activity, the therapist video is visible.

3. FAQ
- What data is captured and who has access to it?
- MindMotion GO and Companion capture data that is necessary for the planning, the execution and the reporting of the therapy activities. The data is centralized on Companion infrastructure and physically stored in Germany for all users, except for Saudi Arabia users in which case it is stored in Saudi Arabia.
- MindMotion GO and Companion are compliant with the GDPR, so the capture, the processing, and the transfer of the data are implemented to preserve the integrity, the availability and the confidentiality of the data.
- The Data Privacy Policy (https://mindmaze.com/privacy-policy-eu/) provided in every Companion profiles defines who can access the data. The patient can set the level of data sharing in the Consent Form.
- How can I give access to my patient for unsupervised training?
- Your patient needs MindMotion credentials (e-mail address and password) in order to use MindMotion GO for unsupervised training and teleconsultation. You can set up your patient account on his/her behalf from Companion and the only required information is your patient’s e-mail address.
- How can I access Companion?
- Companion is a web application. You need to open a browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and go to https://mm-companion.com.
- Companion can be opened from the MindMotion GO computer when the MindMotion GO software is closed by clicking on the Chrome icon on the desktop.
- Companion web application is designed and optimized for computer use and works also on a tablet. Companion can be accessed from a mobile phone but the experience might not be optimal and the functionalities will be limited.
